 Mukthinath Yatra:

   
  Mukthi (Salvation) holds grate significance for all spiritual people in the south Asian sub continent. Mukthinath (the provider of salvation) has been one such holy site, where thousands of devotees flock for attaining the much sought after moksha.
   
 
The famous temple of Lord Mukthinath lies in the district of Mustang and is situated about 18 kms northeast of Jomsom in the north central part of Nepal, at an altitude of about 3800 meters from the sea level. Named after highly referred Mukthinath shrine the valley is one of religious place in Nepal for both Hindus and Buddhist. Hindus call it Mukthikshetra (Place of salvation) is one of the four religious sites. Many Saligrams found here are considered by Hindu as incarnation of lord Vishnu and worship them. According to Hindu Myth lord Vishnu turned into Saligram.

The Temple depicts metal statues of lord Vishnu , goddess Laxmi , Saraswathi, Janaki , Garuda , Lava-Kush and Sapta Rishis .

 Against a backdrop of incredible starkness you can sit and stare to the south the snow covered Annapurna range, or to the north the Tibetan plateau.

In front of MukthinathTemple there are 2 Kunda (Water pond), Where holy dip is believed it can wash away negative karma, the results of one's past negative actions.



   
  There are 108 Dhaara name of "Mukthidhaara" (continuously flowing) just behind the Temple. It has helped to make this area as center of Tourist attraction. Hindu devotees take bath under chilled water of 108 waterspouts "Mukthidhaara" believing that it brings them salvation. It is also believed that the deity was originated from western part of Nepal.

Continuously burning flame "Jwaala Mai Temple" sound of flowing river is situated south of Mukthinath Temple. The Jwaala Mai temple has a spring and there are three eternal flames "Holy flame from soil", "Holy flame from rock" and "Holy flame from water" fed by natural gas. Currently two flames are continuously burning. Hindu believes that this miracle of fire lighting was offering made by Brahma, worship its as Jwaala Mai (Lit. Goddess of fire). The Buddhist called Dhola Mebar Gompa to this temple. The name of Guru Rimpoche Monastery is situated at left from main entrance gate of Mukthinath Temple. The Buddhist nuns take care of cultural heritage inside Mukthinath temple. Photography and filming of deities inside Temple and Monasteries is strictly prohibited.

Foot steps of Shree Swaminarayan Bhagwan: At the end of the 18th century, the Sadhu Nilkanth-Surjadas came to Mukthinath at the age of eleven. God is always present in the Ashram. Bharatji, the son of Rishabhdev did his penance in this ashram. The river Gandaki flows on all the sides of this Ashram. Eleven years boy (Lord Swaminarayan) took a bath in this Gandaki River and started doing the puja of Mukthinath Bhagwan, which cannot be reached by any common man. Standing on one foot with arms raised in the sky the Swaminarayan Dev started the mahamantra of Gayatri and prayed to SuryaNarayan. He used to take bath in the Gandaki River three times a day and do the pooja of Mukthinath. Dharmadev and Bhaktimata came in their divine form and stood besides them.
There is foot statue of Lord Swaminarayan with His holy foot steps.

 Shrines inside Kathmandu- Pashupatinath Temple:

 
   
The Temple of Lord Pashupati Nath Located at the heart of Kathmandu valley, the shrine of Pashupati Nath deserves to be captivated inside our heart too. It is not only a ray of hope among billions of Hindus but also the national God of Nepal.

The sight ofJyotirlingam, which is unique to this shrine only, redeems the human individuals from all the wordly anxieties and sins. It is believed to be the head of Lord Shiva, whereas the body part is believed to be in Kedar Nath of India. This fact alone accounts for how spirutually significant the shrine of Pashupati Nath is.

Pashupati Nath temple is construed to have been a heritage of antiquity. There are sculptures in the temple premises, which were made as early as fourth century A.D. Thousands of devotees queue up for just a glimpse of the Lord everyday, but on the occasion of Shiv Ratri the number crosses a million. Besides, there are temples of Lord Ram, Lord Bhasmeshwar, Goddess Guhyeshwari, Vatsaleswari, Bajreswari and Banakali in its vicinity.


   
  Guhyeshwari Temple
Located in the proximity of Pashupati Nath temple, Guhyeshwari is known particularly for fulfilling human wishes with her divine blessings. The loins guhya of Goddess Sati is believed to have dropped on this place, hence the name Guhyeshwari.

Buddha Nilkantha
The divine idol of the Lord Vishnu reclining on Shesh Naga above water is known as Buddha Nilkantha. The temple is located at a very enchanting place.

Swayambhu Nath Stupa
Swayambhu Nath Stupa is situated at a small hill at the western side of Kathmandu city. Surrounded by a small jungle, the shrine is the hub of faith for all the Buddhists in the world. As the name suggests (Swayambhu means “which comes into being on its own”), Swayambhu is not a human-made chaitya but divinely established holy shrine. Sightseers from throughout the world visit this place to pay homage to the Light of Asia.

Four Ganesh Temples
Ganesh is supposed to sweep away all the hindrances that crop up in human life. There are four famous temple of this deity inside Kathmandu Valley: 1) Chandra Binayak, 2) Karya Binayak, 3) Jay Binayak, and 4) Surya Binayak.

Krishna Temple
